We always hear about angels
And all of the things they can do.
It's not always easy to believe in them
When our dreams don't come true.
But it certainly would be nice to know
There are a few angels in our life,
Then maybe we could better handle
All of life's pain, stress and strife.

As one door is slammed in your face today
Remember, a new one will open for you.
Pause briefly and know 
what you left behind is good
And think of all the ways that you grew.
Approach all the new doors 
with confidence and trust
And above all hold on to your dreams.
For the world is waiting 
for the excellence and love
That you are carrying with you, it seems.

It is said that as time wears on, 
the shock wears off,
But who knows how long it may take.
In the meantime, ordinary things of the day
May make your heart want to break.
Trivial things may feel as odd 
As walking in someone else's shoes.
But hold on to your belief in yourself
For with those thoughts in your mind 
you will never lose.

Sometimes when we're at 
difficult times in our lives
With others we don't share our pain.
Perhaps we're embarrassed or afraid 
to show our fears and feelings
But if we did; who knows what we would gain?
It is said we can overcome difficulties 
slowly but steadily,
Like water cutting a path through a stone.
But we could make it all much easier
If we weren't so determined to do it all alone.

Just remind yourself 
what a special person you are;
How much you have to offer to so many.
Put your arms around yourself 
and give a big hug
And realize that you deserve it plenty.
I think the angels will take 
special care of you right now
And I hope you feel their presence in every way.
Just as I hope you feel the nearness 
of all the loving thoughts
Of those who care so much for you each  day.

Rely on the wisdom and love in your heart
And don't let life throw you a curve.
Because with all my heart 
I want you to have
The beautiful life your deserve.
There are many who believe in you
And know you can do it if you take it day by day.
The truth is nobody else 
can walk in your shoes right now
But you can always just call on me 
and I'll walk beside you 
- every step of the way.
