Have you ever
looked into the clear,
deep, blue depths of the sea?
Have you ever seen a shadow pass over it,
changing it to gray?
Ever noticed the deep green of the sea at sunset,
when the moon is rising?
If you have, you've seen the splendor of the sea,
in my eyes. . . . . .Have you ever seen the waves crash,
against the rocky shore?
Have you ever seen the ocean churn and heard it
roar?
When anger strikes as a tempest, you see the
same,
in the windows of my heart and soul. . . . .
Who can tame the
ocean, or calm the sea?
Who can tame a spirit free?
Let your spirit soar, let it fly free,
There you find true peace and solace,
There, soaring with the breeze. . . . .
To tame my spirit,
would be as trying,
to tame the sea,
I may be tamed for a while,
But look in my eyes and see my spirit's no longer
shackled, but free,
soaring, high above the sea. . . . .
