Beneath the
light of a silvery moon
can be heard the trill of a mystical tune.
A divine melody which can only be heard
by the souls of those who listen to its words.
Its lilting cadence fills the air
drifting out from within an invisible lair.
A peaceful stillness is what it brings,
sweet and melodious are the lyrics it sings.
As the world breathes out a tranquil sigh,
a cool wind rushes suddenly by.
Hearkening the notes of angelic symphonies
carried within the voice of a gentle breeze.
Whispering of an intangible world of dreams
where life becomes more than it seems.
A mysterious story it tells of life to come
and all the rewards received there from.
It passes from the present into the past
as with all wonderous things, it does not last.
But for a few precious moments it came
and cast light on the shadows of the darkest
plains.
Did you hear the secrets it confessed?
What it really means can only be guessed,
for the Song of Life comes and goes
and its purpose is something that only God knows.
