As I walk
I see a siloute
Of a person
Sitting on the bench
Overlooking the sea
As I draw closer
The picture becomes clearer
And I now see
That the siloute
Is a man holding a guitar
Sitting,
Writing quietly
As I walk by
I know not what he writes
Or who he is
But unknown to him
He has brought a smile to my face
And joy to my heart
For such a scene
Of someone enjoying the world
The way it was meant to be
If but only for a short time
Lifts my soul
As I walk on
I wish for some way
To thank him
To let him know
All that he has done for me
As the days drift
by
The memory of that night
Remains with me
Such a peacful,
Perfect picture
Witnessed shortly
As I walked by
To Barry Gibb,
Márcia Pontes.
