Distance

From a distance
He throws
His head back with laughter

From a distance
I stare
Admiring his mind, body, and soul.

From a distance
His mind seems to be always prepared;
Ready for any situation
That may grad him by surprise

From a distance
His body is portrayed as thin
Though his broad shoulders
And glimpses of his biceps
When he clenches his fists
Gives off signs of his muscularity

From a distance
His soul reaches out,
Telling anyone who’ll listen,
"You can trust me; I will not betray you
As those who came before me have."

From a distance His falling in love is seen
By those who take the time to look

From a distance
He keeps going further and further away
Without out saying good bye.

From a distance
I mourn.
