Hold Me

Hold me tight
  as I lay beside you
  in the night.

Hold me closely
  as I nestle
  next to your warm body.

Hold me tighter
as the night starts to turn into day
and the sun comes up and it's time to go.

Hold me closer
as I step my feet out of the car door
not looking forward to the long day, not being able to see you.

Hold me tight
as I walk in the door
and, finally, am able to be in your arms once more.

Hold me tight
  as I lay beside you
  in the night.

Hold me forever...
  in your
  heart!
