Coloured Water Thoughts

Hush all the world, switch off all the stars
May the heavens stand down and listen,
Let the streets be cleared and with tears in our eyes
Bring out the coffin, we'll say our goodbyes.
---
Let the church bells hail weeping overhead
Ringing out the words he is gone he is dead,
Release cold memory. let it seep thick through our brused vains
And with this reality numb your self, Oh dismay with its pains.
---
You were my love, my life, my dusk, my dawn
The tragic loss I’ll always mourn,
My joy, my sorrow, my heart , my friend:
The violence of nothingness you could always mend.
---
And so it is. I must conclude : Gone is the face I yearned so near
Silent is the voice I hurt to hear.
But spare her the tears, the long goodbyes
Return the heart ache with on ending sighs.
Slence the pianos and cut this sad song
For it doesn’t really matter now......life it carried on

In Loving Memory of Andy Gibb.
